The Pinterest Pinning Strategy

Pinterest maintains its importance and is one of the most popular social networks today. The backbone of its social growth and total success rests entirely on images. Pin Boards are fast becoming the livewire pattern that millions of people use. Pinterest’s “pinning” strategy encompasses a wide range of images of people’s online preferences. A “board” groups these images.

In addition to easy usage, Pinterest has experienced rapid growth over the years thanks to its simple business model. As a result, the company’s growth has been remarkable. A simple business model helped Pinterest achieve its phenomenal growth. And its pinning strategy makes it even a more accessible environment for business.

How to Use Pinterest Pinning Strategies for Search Engine Ranking

As a professional marketer, you can leverage Pinterest to attract traffic and social sharing through “repining” and “following.” Your “pins” and “boards” will also have the possibility of getting rankings in the search engines, which is another positive achievement.

Suppose you are not (leveraging Pinterest as a source of traffic for your website and working to build a significant following). In that case, I believe you will be missing out on a good deal of opportunity if you fail to optimize PINTEREST Potential. No doubt, it’s easy to build into your daily marketing activities.

Use Pinterest Pins & Pin Boards to Expand Your Online Business and Reach

If you don’t already have a Pinterest account, you are going to need to get one

The first task:

  • Pin at least ONE Website Blog Post from your website. To do so, follow these steps:
  • Log into your Pinterest account
  • Copy Your Pinterest URL link (of your homepage)
  • Click on your (+) sign to the top right
  • Paste it into your website box (this allows you to pick or create a new board of your choice)
  • Fill the Description Box (here, you must try to catch/attract your readers’/customers’ attention).

Adding a pin is very easy to do as you learn more about this business. Remember that to pin a page, you need to have an “image” on that page. When Pinterest doesn’t find an image associated with your page, it decides to fix its own way.

If you fail to provide an image, Pinterest will have nothing to pin and no other option but to default it to a screenshot of your site’s homepage if it has one stored). So just make sure that you choose a page on your site with images on it when you pin.

The second task :

  • Follow at least ten people

You’re going to be to following at least ten different people. To do this, you will want to head over to your Pinterest account.

The next task will be to follow at least five other people who have similar interests to yours. This can be achieved by searching for a keyword-relevant to your niche. If I were, for example, interested in “Style & Design,” I would naturally search for it on Pinterest. Be sure to select “All Pins,” using the filter if necessary. Upon completing your search, you will be provided with a list of “pins” related to your search. If you hover over any one of these images and click (once you see the + sign), you’ll be taken to the actual Pin.

By clicking on the Pin, you’ll get an expanded view of it as well as the author’s name. You can now follow this author. To follow, click on the “Follow” button. It’s that simple. The following is an excellent example of how to follow people with similar interests on Pinterest. By following people in your niche, you can also get a lot of inspiration and ideas. An excellent place to start is on Pinterest, where you can find some creative people worth following. Follow this process until you get to where you want to reach with your number of followings.

Next, you will write your post and publish it on your website. You should always include an image in every post you create on your website. When you have published your content, you should go to Pinterest and pin it. Using the (+ button) on your profile, go to Create => Pin. You will be taken to the Pin creation page at this point.

You will enter a title relevant to the first  50 characters in the normal view, but you will see your entire pin description in the full view.

Your shared image should have a relevant title, as well as a quality description. In social media, we are always striving to “engage” with our audience.

Then select the “Save from website” button. This will present you with a form that will enable you to get a link of your website.

Once you have done this, click the arrow next to the link. After clicking this link, you’ll be taken to a page where you can choose from all the images on your page. If you have lots of pins on this site, you can pick which image you want to use for this particular Pin. After you choose the image,  select “Add to Pin.”

Choosing a Board as Last Step of the Pinterest Pinning Strategy

The final step is choosing the board on which to add the pin/s. If you prefer, you can create a new BOARD or use an existing one and “Save.

Here we are! You have added a pin, and now this Pin is live within the Pinterest network. Moreover, your followers will receive an automatic notification. You’re now in a position to start getting followers and traffic with and through your posts!

When You Pin, Keep These Things in Mind:

You should be engaging in and used to pinning with all your articles or posts. In short, placing images on your site is a good idea. Pinterest sites are so popular because images add visual value to them. The human eye is designed by nature to focus on visuals.

For success on Pinterest, always remember to engage!
