How to know very little and still be smart

All in all, I think most people would agree that it’s better to know a little and still be smart than to know a lot and remain stupid. Interestingly, stuff like that does happen in real life! And this can be reflected in the sayings, “Jack of all trades, master of none.” Or “You’re biting more than you can chew.” After all, what matters is the desire to establish authority and become an expert in your niche if only you’re smart with the little you know.

Putting in Practice the Little of Your Knowledge

All that’s required is to focus or center your attention on one thing at a time. Historically, those who specialize in one particular aspect of business have a higher chance of success than those who pursue so many objectives at the same time. Please do not misunderstand, this does not mean they can’t multitask (but interpreted purely in business terms) and not like just running a daily errand. However, multitasking situations may even be rare and exceptional if not followed the right way.

In general, when you have achieved significant success in one type of business niche, that success will be the driving force behind your other projects. And now you feel capable of handling the next and then the second, third, and fourth projects. As a result of your past experiences, you now have an in-depth understanding of the terrain in which you operate. You’ve also been able to develop some authority and expertise throughout the years that will now support your work in all other areas of business.

Knowing a Little and Being Clever

You can open many doors when you know a little and put that knowledge into action. Also, it can lead to outcomes such as:

· Precisely define what needs to be implemented

· May yield better results than trying to do one hundred things simultaneously

· Depicts the focus on one thing as being brilliant and likely to achieve success

· Folks with this type of focus have a better chance to serve their industry successfully

People who narrow down on their activities, allow their strategy to work out well. They may start out with a very narrow niche, but when the business begins to show some signs of growth, they expand to other areas and diversify.

Moreover, folks who focus their attention on a single task do better and become successful sooner than those who do not. People with such types of businesses can be found all around the place.

Conversely, the strategy doesn’t help you if you want to be a jack of all trades and a master of none. In fact, biting more than you can chew can certainly further complicate things for you, due to a lack of experience. But in today’s world, that kind of attitude can be detrimental as others possibly may take a leap forward, while you remain stagnant.

An all-knowing attitude does not guarantee success

The ability to do a little bit of everything or have an all-knowing attitude doesn’t make one successful. And Knowledge of everything is no guarantee of expertise. People with “know it all knowledge” or book smart people do not typically make the most successful people in the world because of this “grabbing all” mindset.

The aim of knowing and being the best at almost everything does not help us become the best at anything. One can thus safely say that trying to be everything could lead to becoming nothing, a path we would not even suggest to others.

How to Find Out More About Particular  Products

If you are passionate about a specific product in your niche, you will want to learn more about it. And it is up to each individual to determine how to devote their time to something so specific and which identifies with their niche and, therefore, design their own processes to become an authority and an expert.

Exactly what does this mean? How do you immerse yourself into a niche? How would you even begin to design the process of becoming an authority? What key steps/strategies should you implement in order to become an expert?

· Keep an eye on your industry (use Google Alerts to achieve this)

· Monitor your competitors’ activities closely

Competitors can help you rethink or reshape your niche by providing great content, product reviews, and unique opinions. It is imperative to keep up with your niche and have an idea of what other people in your industry do.

As you do your niche research, you should compile a list of websites that you would consider competitors, no matter how authoritative they might be. Stay informed about what these sites are doing and use their ideas as inspiration.

This is by no means copying. Influence is much different. You don’t want to copy any content from competitors, but it is fine to get ideas in relation to content, information, products, and even website design/layout as you do your research.
