An Adolescent Boy Kept in Same Class for More Than a Decade
This video is alarming, not because I am a father, but it will surely hurt any parent to see a child with a disability being treated this way by people who are supposed to help him. It’s disheartening, if not crazy, to leave a child in the same class for good fifteen years, as the video reveals.
The Negligence of the School Officials
How can a child (although the latest information indicates that he is now of age and an adult) be left in the same class for fifteen years in such a situation to waste his life further? Furthermore, the school officials know very well that the boy has a severe attention deficit, which furthers his learning problem.

I picked interest in this matter to bring it to light so that good people worldwide can read, share their ideas, and see if there’s a way to help this boy. Despite a hard time with COVID and all other life’s problems, some good-hearted people are still very much alive who, despite their problems, are just there to give a helping hand to the less privileged. So, to these “God-sent angels,” I say thank you beforehand, as I know you would also pick interest in this matter.
The Problem with
Governments in Africa
African This sad event brings many questions to mind. Why are some, if not the majority of African governments useless? If they are not meaningless, why should this boy with a disability be left to his luck and to whims and caprices of the poor mother who looks like a single mother?
What’s the business of government anyway if it cannot tackle cases like these to lessen society’s burden? Especially for people who cannot help themselves not to talk about being well informed about what to do and where to go for assistance?
That’s the problem in Africa; leaders should not come to government to just rule but lead. Good leadership takes care of things like these and doesn’t rule by making draconian laws that would further impoverish and submit their people to permanent slavery. Instead, good leaders lead aright and fight for the general good of their people. Their leadership presence is felt at all levels of governance, most especially at the local government level (the closest political structure to the people).
