What a coincidence that I was writing about mothers on Father’s Day! That doesn’t mean I did it intentionally for any comparison. I appreciate fathers too, for now, let’s give what belongs to mothers, to MOTHERS.
To start with, a mother is that woman, that lady, that female parent who may be the biological or adopted mother, a care provider, or a single mother who in time past had a sentimental friend or a companion; whatever is her situation, she is a family administrator who by virtue of her position as a mother in the family, oversees the needs of her children.

Mothers as Good Administrators
Mothers decide what goes on at home when it comes to providing and supervising the children’s daily needs. These Mothers, moms, or mummies, share, allocate, distribute to the children all that reach their hands for the children upkeep. So, they take care of their clothing, foodstuff, toys, etc., and they also ensure the children get their school materials in time: books, pencils, pens, uniforms, etc. …

Mother’s Labor Is Priceless
Mothers’ activities are sometimes carried out without being noticed. But I have always admired and closely followed the labor of these worthy MOTHERS. I could see these mothers in churches, in doctors’ offices, in the supermarkets, in the parks, even on the streets with their children in their carriages, carts or strollers. Their children on their backs, chest, or even when the child is sick and father is busy with his work and has no chance, mothers take it on themselves to meet doctors’ appointments and all that. Mothers’ activities of looking after their children do not stop even in church services. When everybody is busy paying attention to the preacher’s message, that poor mother will be rushing in and out with the restless child just to avoid onlookers who are like saying in their mind, “Please go away with your noise-making child.”

Mothers Are Passionate & Earnest Lovers of Their Children
Mothers’ passion, love, and sacrifice for their children are enormous, and they know no limits when it comes to their children’s welfare. They carry the pregnancy for a good nine months. When giving birth, most of them go through hell— my presence in my children’s delivery was always an awful experience! Oh, lest I forget, if I were a smoker, I would have smoked full packets of cigarettes to calm down my nerves! As soon as the baby is born, mothers start a long journey from day one to get them from the ground. The struggles continue day-by-day until the child moves from 0-1 year and above.
Mothers are our Queens. What a striking similarity exists between our mothers (humans) when compared to mothers( animals) such as dogs, chickens, primates, etc.,… for they all have the common denominator of being caring, of profound love for their children and ready to die for them. Interestingly, this quality spreads to all mothers notwithstanding their races, be they Black, White, or Brown. Likewise, this school of thought also extends to their social standing, be they rich, poor, or raggy. Literate, semi-illiterate, or stark illiterate. These mothers are real heroes, and staunch supporters of their kids as they always stand by them, and can die for them. All these qualities put together, make our mothers our queens and heroes. God Bless MOTHERS!

Mothers Are Special for Their Sacrifices
Mothers of integrity, live and can die for protecting their children. Some mothers are sweet and determined not only to move their children around, but they are imbued with an extraordinary spirit to move them forward. We see these types of hard-working mothers all over Africa. Mothers (market women) spending the best part of the 24 hours trying to sell all kinds of stuff to help feed their children, help pay school fees, buying of books, and meeting up with miscellaneous expenses. Single mothers go through this experience and journey alone throughout the 365 days of every year. For those of us who do not have our mothers around us anymore, and our mothers are also not able to enjoy that accolade from us their children, we say thank you, mother, for going through all you did for us. We’ll always remember you, most especially on Mother’s Day.
You, the lucky ones who still have your mothers around, please, honor them, and always remember to thank them for bringing you to the world. Don’t forget them, especially on Mother’s Day.
As a Newbie, Im invariably searching online for blogs that can facilitate me. Thanks
